Various and Sundry Things: Help a Sister Out

We have made it a point to keep most topics on this blog lighthearted and aimed at defining/refining one’s own personal style, but today we are going to take a little side-step. A dear friend of ours, Laura, from college adopted the most beautiful baby girl about a year ago. After Isla was placed with Laura and her family, someone decided to contest the adoption (trying to undo the adoption).

Next week, Laura and her family will go to court to fight to keep Isla in her home and as a part of their family. When they started the adoption process, they financially prepared themselves for the cost of adopting a child with no contention; however the costs of these proceedings have reached far beyond what they had planned.

We know everyone is strapped for cash these days, but any donation amount is greatly appreciated and will help keep together this sweet family together. #keepislahome
