Dwellings: Chevron

While chevron stripes have been a hot fashion topic in recent history; today I am going to talk about these bad boys in your home, and no I don’t mean painted on your walls. For a long time now I have been fascinated with older homes that have chevroned hardwood floors, and recently this has expanded to tiling (floors, walls, showers, etc.). To me there is something so elegant and stunning about the detail, the fact that it  can add an element of drama or a bit of a historic touch to any home just astounds me. Here are some great examples of how I would incorporate them into my own home (once I actually own one).
