If you have ever eaten at Bone Fish Grill you have probably had the Bang Bang Shrimp. It is a delicious combination of sweet and spicy sauce over succulent shrimp, it’s awesome. It is certainly not the healthiest meal that you could make, but served on a salad chocked full of vegetables it would not be too bad for you.
I kind of have a weird obsession with mayo and I love it on everything. I think I went a little may heavy and for next time I will probably add more shrimp so that it isn’t so saucy. I also did not deep fry the shrimp, just lightly pan-fried.
Bang Bang Shrimp Recipe Inspiration from Skinny Taste
5 Tablesspoons of Mayo (light or regular)
3 Tablespoons Sweet Chili Sauce (sold in Asian section of Supermarket)
1 Tablespoon Siracha **I added 2 because I like it spicy so if you don’t like spicy don’t add the whole tablespoon.
1 lb of Shrimp- I would have added 1.5-2 for the amount of sauce it makes.
2 teaspoons of cornstarch
1 tablespoon of cooking oil
Lettuce** I think this would be great on top of a salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes, and any other delicious seasonal veggie.
** Also very delicious over rice or quinioa.
Combine mayo, sweet chili sauce, and siracha in a bowl. Peel shrimp and coat with cornstarch. Heat oil on medium high then fry the shrimp until it turns a pink color and is cooked through. Take shrimp out of the pan and mix shrimp in the mayo sauce. Serve over lettuce, rice, quinioa, or eat right out of the bowl-that’s what I did. Enjoy!
