Feed Me: Meatloaf the Ultimate Comfort Food

Today I am sharing one of the ultimate comfort food recipes, meatloaf.  This recipe is the one my mom made for us growing up and it sure is good.  I highly recommend asking your butcher to give you meatloaf mix since it has the right quantities of beef, pork, and veal to keep this meal delicious and moist.  It has now become one of my husband’s favorite dishes, he requests it a lot.

Meatloaf 1

Ingredients:

  • 2lbs Meatloaf Mix
  • 2 Cups of Branflakes/Special K (plain)
  • 1 tablespoon horseradish
  • 1/2 cup of ketchup
  • salt and pepper
  • parsley
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 egg

Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 350. Mix meat, cereal, and milk. Mix in all other ingredients. Use your hands to get everything distributed. Add meat to cooking dish- I use 9 by 13 in. Put ketchup on top and bake for 1 hr and 15 mins.
