Feed Me: Chocolate Chip Cookies

There are tons of cookie recipes out there but the Chocolate Chip Cookie is the gold standard. This recipe is straight out of the kitchen aid mixer recipe book and it was the first masterpiece I made using one of my favorite wedding presents. Sometimes my husband and I don’t even get to baking the cookies because the dough is SO GOOD!! Warning: you will get a bellyache if all you eat for dinner is a fist full of cookie dough….

What is your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe!? Any variations that we need to try?

1 cup granulated sugar
1cup of butter
2 Eggs
1 and 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups all purpose flour
12 oz semi sweet chocolate chips

If you have made any of my recipes before you know I never follow recipes exact however I follow this one to a T! Recipe is straight out of the Kitchen Aid mixer recipe book. However you do not need to have a kitchen aid mixer to make it, just use your muscles to stir!

Preheat oven to 375. Add softened butter (either microwave or let sit out) sugars, eggs, and vanilla. Attach flat beater to mixer. Turn to speed 2 and mix for 30 seconds. Stop and scrape the bowl then turn to speed for another 30 seconds. Add baking soda, salt, and flour-add on stir speed. Mix for about 3 minutes. Turn up speed to 2 and mix 30 seconds. Turn back to stir speed and slowly add chocolate chips. Spoon out teaspoon sized portions to place in the cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake 8-10 minutes.
