Feed Me: Baked and Wired

This past weekend my boyfriend and I headed down to DC. This was partially to take advantage of the extra day and partially to see this girl for her birthday celebration.

We decided to walk around Georgetown on Saturday it had been a while since we had been to the area and the weather was so beautiful. While walking we happened upon a coffee and pastry shop called Baked and Wired. The long line outside the building told us this place was definitely a neighborhood gem. Once inside we were greeted with a smorgasbord of pies and cupcakes!!!! And talk about customer service. I had a concern about the ingredients of a particular cupcake I was eyeing (because I am a freak and am allergic to cinnamon). The staff went as far calling the actual baker to make sure it wasn’t in the delicious treat. Once done ordering our cupcakes we headed to the other side of the shop and were greeted by some of the most knowledgeable baristas. They are even participating in this weekend’s US Barista Championship here in NYC.

I ended up going with the German Chocolate cupcake. It is my delicious default flavor!
