Dwellings: IKEA Mattress

My boyfriend and I were in desperate need of a new bed (I think it may have been fashioned shortly after the nativity scene). So we did what any late-twenties couples who is barely self-sustaining would do. We asked Santa for a new mattress; both Adam and my family were generous enough to collectively provide us with funding for a new bed (woot)! So the morning after arriving home from a 14 hour drive with a shaking dog we wake up and begin to research options. Immediately we looked at sites such as  Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Sleepy’s and Bob’s. Then I remember that IKEA had revamped their mattresses a few years back so we decided to add them to our comparison. At first I was a bit skeptical about settling on the idea of a mattress from IKEA given that I associated the brand with a somewhat transient lifestyle and we are in a phase of our life where we are trying to establish our home. However when we started looking at the materials, warranty, quality, etc. IKEA was the best option (this leaving out the factor of price). Once we had decided to go with the Swedes we used their really handy mattress guide to help us select the best suited mattress for our needs. We spent the rest of the day at the Brooklyn, NY location trying our options; we even managed to leave with a pretty sweet bedframe/headboard-which will get a little DIY later on.

Don't you want to dive into this bed?

We ended up with this bedframe

They even hide them in couches
